Dog Park

SO today we checked out North Ports new dog park...  Very nice.  Moby, our greyhound, loved it.  Just some FYI, Moby is a 2.5 year old brindle greyhound.  He weights approximately 83lbs.  A very big boy when it comes to greyhounds.  When we first come him it weighed something like 75lbs but needed to gain a few pounds due to the fact that his hip bones were quite noticable.  He has filled out quite nice weight wise and we can't notice his hip bones sticking up anymore.  Needless to say like most greyhounds, he is totally a couch potato.  He sleeps almost 20 some hours out of the day.  This acutally works out great since i work nights and sleep during the day, and my wife works days and sleeps during the night.  So he always has somebody to sleep next to.

Moby loved the dog park even though he totally mistook it for his own personal toilet.  Upon arrival excitement overwhelmed him enough that he pee'd on the bush immediately on getting out of the car.  From there, we traveled through the double gates where once inside he ran to the far end to unload his bowels.  From there he spend the next 20 minutes going around sniffing, lifting his leg, and peeing on everything in site.  He even pee'd on the water bowel fountain for the dogs.  It got to the point where he would totally lift his leg and nothing would come out.  The longer we stayed the more dogs came.  Surprisingly we did find manage to find out moby is heterosexual.  Unfortanely the male dog that tried to hump him is not.  The other dog was a labrador retriever that wasn't quite as tall as moby, nor as big,  but was definitely up to the challenge. Moby on the other hand wasn't having any of it.  The second the labrador jumped up, moby turned barked and snapped. The labrador jumped off, ran away to the next nearest dog and attempted to hump them.  This continued until he tried to hump every dog in the dog park except moby.
